The road to his successful practice in Hackettstown/Washington Township began for him in the dentist's chair as a kid. No stranger to plaque and cavities, the youngster survived many hours being treated kindly by his childhood dentists, Dr. John Lombardi & Dr. Alan Land of Newton, New Jersey. Plenty of fillings & even a root canal & crowns were placed in his face in his formative years! He even used the old trick of just wetting the toothbrush, to fake out his parents..... It was this time that the work of Dental Care began to interest him.

It was in his senior year at Kittatinny Regional High School, that the to-be Dr. Liegner began to find his path. His college acceptances included an admission to Dental School, unusual as not many high school seniors were mapping out eight years of school! He choose to go to Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, to study Chemistry as an undergraduate. Later, he secured an acceptance in his state school system, University of Medicine and Dentistry/ New Jersey Dental School, and completed his Doctoral Studies in 1988.

In 1990, Dr. Liegner set up his own practice for the Tri- County community, centered in Hackettstown. His practice foundations include:

Dr. Liegner lives in the township of Hardwick with his soulmate Laura, & their two kids Benjamin & Samantha, who think dad makes donuts . . . The menagerie includes a chocolate lab, three Stray cats, far too many fish for a 10-gallon tank, & a chinchilla who won't become a coat.Dr. Liegner's interests include flying & aviation, scuba, internet weblogs, Challenger & now Columbia, and an unusual affection for the Philadelphia Flyers.
